Take a Journey through Bethlehem
As you enter the city of Bethlehem allow the sights, sounds, and smells to carry you to a period of time that changed the world. Expect to be met by Roman soldiers and counted in the census. Journey through the heart of the city to the marketplace that is bustling with activity from over a dozen authentic shops and listen for the rumor of a “king’s” birth from excited townspeople. Continue your journey to the Nativity where a very special baby was born in a stable. Here you can reflect on the blessed birth of Christ – the greatest gift that has ever been given.

When is Bethlehem Walk?
Bethlehem Walk returns each year on the first Wednesday evening following the Thanksgiving holiday and runs to the following Sunday.

Bethlehem Walk is located at Salem Baptist Church in Goochland County, Virginia, just 6 miles west of Short Pump.
Where do I Park?
ALL GUESTS ON ALL DAYS ARE ASKED TO CHECK IN AT THE PARKING AREA FOR INSTRUCTIONS AND CHECK-IN
Do I need to Reserve Tickets?
GUESTS ATTENDING ON DECEMBER 5-7 MUST REGISTER AHEAD OF TIME TO SECURE A "WALK WINDOW" TO ATTEND EVENT
GUESTS ATTENDING ON DECEMBER 3-4 DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER AND WILL BE ACCOMODATED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS
What if I'm Bringing a Large Group?
Large church/organization groups looking to be accomodated need to email bethlehemwalk@salembaptistchurch.info. OUr team will do their best to accomodate what we are able to given availability.

We have limited handicap accessibility available.Please let your greeter know at the time of check-in and instructions will follow.
Is there a cost to Bethlehem Walk?
IT IS FREE – our CHRISTmas gift to you. Donations may be given and are used to cover the costs of the event.
What is the History of Bethlehem Walk?
Since its inaugural season in 2003, Bethlehem Walk has thrilled and emotionally touched visitors from across the Commonwealth. Each December, Salem Baptist Church partners with various churches to reach thousands of people with this interactive Gospel drama that takes visitors through scenes ranging from the entrance of the Savior into the world to an empty Jewish tomb.
Who Organizes, Plans, and Executes Bethlehem Walk?
Each year, host church, Salem Baptist Church partners with various churches to reach thousands of people with this interactive Gospel drama. There is a production team that works year-around, planning and preparing. By opening night, over 200 members, cast, crew, and support will participate in this year’s event.
What should I Wear?
This is an outdoor event so please dress warmly and be prepared for potentially wet weather; it is frequently cold in Bethlehem at this time of the year. Also wear comfortable shoes, as the terrain can be uneven.
How can I Financially Support Bethlehem Walk?
Donations are accepted at the end of the Walk or you may give online at the following LINK. You may also bring a canned good to support our local food bank.
